I was referred to the clinic this year and initially had an appointment with Dr Vickie Pasterski in June, she was lovely and so understanding. She referred me to Mary for testosterone and Dr Inglefield for Top surgery the same day.
I saw Mr Inglefield back in August and he examined me for Top surgery. He’s the best man for the job without a doubt, so caring and understanding and I couldn’t recommend him anymore, I’m so happy with my scars and how my chest looks now.
I met Mary the hormone nurse prescribed in September and she is one of the kindest, funniest people you could meet. She’ll make you feel 100% comfortable in the appointment and I came out having had my first testosterone shot, feeling like I was finally getting somewhere with my transition. She showed me how to administer the shot myself so that I could do it at home.
After my consultation with Mr Inglefield, I booked Top surgery within the next few days, the availability varies but I managed to book my surgery date in within two months of having the consultation. Such a massive difference with having to wait years on the NHS for that possibility. Definitely worth saving for if you can and getting it done by Mr Inglefield.
I couldn’t be happier with the results from Top surgery. I had quite a big chest before so my scars were bigger than some but that was to be expected and doesn’t bother me one bit. I couldn’t believe how in proportion everything is and the size of the scars are amazing.
I had my 6 week post op check up with Mr Inglefield last week and he said everything is healing fine and I’m now back to work/exercising pretty much as normal. My scars are healing so well and they’re so thin and discrete.
I’m so grateful for Mr Inglefield and Mary’s help, as well as the lovely nurses at the clinic and Lynsey the therapist who carried out my MLD treatment pre and post op for making me feel so much more comfortable in my skin. I couldn’t be happier with my top surgery results!
