Gabrielle Sharples
Integrative Psychodynamic Psychotherapist
Trainee Gender Specialist
Gabrielle (she/he/they) is an Integrative Psychodynamic Psychotherapist to the general public but more specifically to the LGBTQIA+ community, where her heart lies. Gabrielle is from the beautiful twin islands of Trinidad & Tobago as our very own Mr. Inglefield, where she completed half her education, moving to the UK 22 years ago to continue her studies. Gabrielle provides specialist psychotherapeutic sessions within her Private Practive called Transition focused Therapy© (TfT). TfT© is a one of a kind developed and provided to Trans, Non-Binary and Gender diverse individuals across their lifespan of transition as well as initial stages of realisation, emergence, and disclosure. Gabrielle created TfT© as they saw a great need for a more holistic and therapeutic approach to the initial diagnostic stages of medical transition i.e. Gender Dysphoria Diagnosis. This can be a scary and intimidating process for many, hence TfT© was born. TfT© helps you prepare and process for this big stage in your transition. Gabrielle tries her best to work with your chosen diagnostician, to either be present with you at the appointment or make sure you are at ease and prepared for your diagnostic consultation appointment. These are 6week sessions leading up to your appointment date, which you can extend with Gabrielle or continue on with them in Private Practice for as long or as short as you would like. Gabrielle is also an assessor for Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) using the newly validated measure ACIA. They perform this especially for Gender Diverse individuals as it’s a more affirming approach. You can book in with her for your affirming ASC assessment as well.
