Males have a more prominent Adam’s Apple, compared to females. A thyroid shave involves reducing the thyroid cartilage to reshape or reduce the prominence of the Adam’s Apple. At The London Transgender Clinic, we place the surgical incision underneath the chin so there is no visible scar on the neck, therefore there is no obvious indication you have had the surgery.

I had an appointment for HRT at LTC, at the start I was a mess of nerves but everyone at the clinic was great.
During my consultation with Shirley, she instantly made me feel comfortable and well looked after. Shirley was very informative and helped me to decide the most suitable form of HRT for me.
I left the consultation with a prescription and feeling like I was in good hands.
All in all, my visit was a very positive experience and I would recommend them to others, especially those that are waiting for their NHS appointment(s).
I want to give a massive thank you to Shirley and everyone else at LTC for their help and making me feel comfortable.
